Xurus Cabernet Sauvignon

2009

The 2009 Xurus Cabernet Sauvignon has a light ruby color turning toward brick on the brim. On the nose, you can detect dark berries like blackberry and boysenberry along with more evolved aromas of pencil shavings, leather, tobacco, and clove. The wine is juicy, has good acidity and structure with smooth, ripe tannins. It is evolving pleasantly in the glass.

2011

This vintage 2011 bottling shows what time in the cellar can achieve with wine. Opulent, the wine offers aromas of black plum, boysenberry, Mission fig, allspice, earth, dried florals, and sweet oak mingling throughout. The supple palate extends into firm, chewy tannins. Flavors of fruit, spice, oak, caramelized orange zest, and brown sugar gently release into mouthwatering tannins and tension to finish.

What Our Customers Say

Dear Kambiz and Ali, having purchased numerous cases of Xurus over the years I am starting on the last case of the 2009 red, which has aged wonderfully and become even better than when I first tasted it. Thank you both for the Xurus venture (and if you start another one, please let me know!). I drank one of my 12 bottles of 2009 a few weeks ago. Super!

The growing accord and harmony of Xurus wines are increasingly evident from vintage to vintage, culminating in the superb 2013.

Enjoying your fine wine -3L 2008; outstanding. Everyone is amazed at how well it has aged. The wine is amazing - Just wanted to let you know our family enjoyed a 3L 'o8 with our Holiday dinner. The wine was amazing, fruit still vibrant, could have lasted for a long, long time!

We received recently our Xurus 2013 vintage and tasted it after giving it a little rest; fantastic! It is well balanced, with the same fruitiness and tannins as in the previous vintages, but longer in the mouth and more complex; a wine to keep and enjoy on special occasions with good friends.
